Troubleshoot a “Programming Not Authorized” error. Here are three ways to resolve this issue.
Solution One: Let’s check your programming package. Download a programming guide at mydish.com/programmingguides. Make sure that the channel you are trying to tune in to is included in your programming package.
You can also view your customized channel lineup in the MyDISH app. If desired, you can make programming changes in the app.
If you make changes, the channels can take up to 15 minutes to appear.
Solution Two: Still having issues? Let’s send a programming authorization to your receiver. Log in to your mydish.com account. Select the My Equipment tab. Verify the receiver is listed at the top of the page and “ON.” If your receiver is not “ON,” call us at 800-333-3474 to get it activated.
Select the Wake Up Receivers button. It can take up to five minutes for programming to return.
Solution Three: Still having issues? Let’s perform a power reset. Go to the Diagnostics screen by pressing the Home button three times. Select Tools. Then Reset Hopper.
