Troubleshoot your receiver turning on and off by itself. Here are four ways to resolve this issue.
Solution One: Let’s check for power. Make sure the power cord is plugged in.
The power cord usually has a red tag. Ensure it is tightly connected to the back of the receiver. If you’re using a power strip, make sure it’s turned on.
Make sure there’s a green light on the front of your receiver. If there isn’t one, press the power button.
Then turn your TV on to see if you can watch programming.
Solution Two: Still having issues? Let’s make sure your receiver is well ventilated.
Your receiver needs ventilation to avoid overheating or it may not turn on. It should not be enclosed in a cabinet.
There should be at least four inches of space between it and other electronic devices.
Solution Three: Still having issues? Let’s perform a hard reset. Unplug the receiver from the outlet for ten seconds, then plug it back in.
Solution Four: Still having issues? Let’s check the wiring. Confirm that the wiring from your receiver to the wall is connected properly.
