The Simplified Voice Remote, or 60 remote, has larger buttons to make your TV watching experience easier. When you pair the remote to your receiver, it will automatically increase the size of your guide text.

Use voice commands

Press and hold the microphone button and say commands out loud to control your remote with your voice.

You can try commands like:
"Tune to ESPN"
"Show free movies"
"Open Netflix"
"What’s the weather?"

Voice functionality requires active internet connection. Learn to connect your device to the internet. 

 

Find your remote

Press the Locate Remote or remote-shaped button on your receiver and listen for the remote to beep. 

 

Pair your remote to your receiver
When you get a new remote, you need to pair it to the receiver.

  • Press the SYS INFO button on your receiver. 
  • Press the microphone button on your remote. 
  • Listen for 3 beeps. Once you hear the noise, your remote is paired. 

Pair your remote to the TV
Setting up your DISH remote to control the power and volume of your TV varies depending on your receiver. 

 

If you have a Hopper 3, Hopper with Sling, Hopper, Hopper Duo, Joey 1, Joey 2, Joey 3, 4K Joey, Super Joey, Wally, or Wireless Joey:

  • Press Home twice, then select Remote Control.
  • Select TV then follow the steps in the TV pairing wizard.

If you have a Hopper Plus, Joey 4, or Wireless Joey 4:

  • Press Home, then select the settings gear.
  • Select DISH settings then select Remote control.
  • Select TV then select TV Pairing Wizard to finish pairing.
