This is a private code to add protection against unauthorized access to your account. Along with the 4-digit code, you will submit a security code reminder as a helpful hint when verification occurs.

You can update your security code and reminder from your MyDISH profile.

We provide pre-written questions for you to submit applicable answers to enhance account verification.

Security answers must be between 1-100 characters using only letters and numbers.

Example:
Security Question: Your city of birth?
Security Answer: Seattle

You can update your security question and answer from your MyDISH profile.

Your security code is a 4-digit number that you created when you set up your DISH account. To protect your privacy and security, we ask for it whenever you call us.

On MyDISH.com:

1. Log in to the My Profile tab of your MyDISH account
2. Under Security & Sign-in enter your new 4-digit security code
3. Confirm your new 4-digit security code and set up a reminder that will help you remember it in the future
4. Click Save

In the MyDISH App:

1. Log in to your account in the MyDISH App
2. Select Account
3. Select Security under Account Preferences
4. Under Security Info, enter your new 4-digit security code
5. Confirm your new 4-digit security code and set up a reminder that will help you remember it in the future
6. Press Save Settings to confirm

Strengthen Your 4-Digit Security Code

When updating your security code, avoid using sequential or repeating numbers, or information on public record, like birthdays or your SSN. You can also add a security code reminder as a helpful tip when verification occurs.
