Parental controls

Parental controls on DISH Anywhere are separate from the controls on your receiver at home. The settings you create for DISH Anywhere will carry over to all the devices where you use the DISH Anywhere app.

Create a passcode

On mobile devices

  1. Select your profile icon
  2. Select Parental Controls
  3. Toggle Parental Controls to On
  4. You’ll be prompted to create a passcode to unlock restricted content or change parental controls in the future

On your television

  1. Select Settings, then select Parental Controls
  2.  Toggle Parental Controls to On
  3. You’ll be prompted to create a passcode to unlock restricted content or change parental controls in the future

Restrict content

On mobile devices

  1. Select your profile icon
  2. Select Parental Controls, then select Manage Ratings
  3. Toggle any content you want to restrict to On, then enter your passcode to save the changes
  4. You can also restrict purchases and unrated content from the Parental Controls dashboard

On your television

  1. Select Settings, then select Parental Controls
  2. Select Manage Ratings
  3. Toggle any content you want to restrict to On, then enter your passcode to save the changes

Reset your passcode

On mobile devices

  1. Select your profile icon
  2. Select Parental Controls, then select Change Passcode
  3.  Enter your current passcode, then update with a new code

On your television

  1. Select Settings, then select Parental Controls
  2. Select Change Passcode
  3.  Enter your current passcode, then update with a new code
