No, you only need a single DISH account. You can use your DISH home account.

Make sure the arm of your antenna is aiming north.

We have a way for you to reauthorize your receiver without having to call. Visit our DISH Outdoors Self-Service Portal and follow the simple step-by-step instructions to get your service up and running once you reach your destination.

The Wally allows you to record one program at a time when a dedicated external hard drive (EHD) is connected to the receiver. Find out how to connect an external hard drive so you can record your shows.

Equipment & Installation

If you only watch TV while you're docked, any of the DISH portable dishes listed above will work if placed on the dock (flat stable surface). If you wish to watch TV while you're on the open water, you will need a marine-compatible portable dish system manufactured by KVH. Visit www.kvh.com to learn more or purchase.

Yes, customers can purchase multiple DISH receivers to use in their RV. However, this requires a portable dish that can support three receivers.

Installation services are not included in a subscription. Many of the DISH-compatible portable dish solutions are easily self-installed. However, if you do need assistance, our dedicated DISH Outdoors sales agents are able to recommend some installation solutions by calling 800-970-9021. Also, most of the DISH products can be purchased and installed through your local Camping World store.

Some of the portable dishes including the Tailgater 2 and the Pathway Portable Dishes draw power from the DISH receiver through the coax cable. The receiver requires 110VAC power source. You will need a power inverter to run all of your equipment from your vehicle's DC power supply (110VAC power outlet required).

Note if your TV is rated greater than 100 watts, it may require direct connection to the vehicle battery. If you are watching TV from your vehicle for more than a few hours, periodically run your vehicle to maintain battery life. Note, starting your vehicle may temporarily shut off power and require a quick rescan for DISH satellites. For extended use, a portable power generator, power pack or alternative accessory battery is recommended.

Yes, you can enjoy the Hopper Whole-Home HD DVR at home and still have a Solo HD receiver activated on the same account for your outdoor TV needs.

You can add DVR functionality and the ability to record and pause live TV by attaching your own USB external hard drive to the USB port on the back of the receiver. A one-time $40 service fee will apply.

The external hard drive must have its own power supply cable and must be rated between 50 GB minimum and 2 TB maximum (if connecting your external hard drive to a Wally receiver, it must be at minimum 500 GB). To learn more or purchase at a special discount, visit mydish.com/ehd.
