Before getting started, please note that Hopper and Wally receivers must have a wireless adapter connected to the back of the receiver. If connecting a Hopper Plus to the Network, follow the same steps once you select the Hopper Plus settings then DISH settings. This is not required for Hopper Duo, Hopper with Sling, or Hopper 3 models. To purchase a Wireless BB Adapter, visit our store. (A Netgear Model WNDA3100v2 Wi-Fi adapter is the only supported Wi-Fi adapter that allows wireless communication between a wireless internet gateway and a compatible DISH receiver.)
All Joey receivers automatically connect to the internet when your Hopper receiver is connected. This allows Joeys access to applications that require an internet connection, like Pandora and Netflix.
Enable or disable this feature, known as Bridging, by following these steps on your Hopper receiver:
Set up DISH’s OTA adapter.
Position and secure your OTA antenna in your home by referencing the instructions that came with the antenna.
Connect the coax cable from your OTA antenna to the OTA adapter. Connect the adapter to the USB port on the front or back of your receiver.
